The Great British Summer Savings scheme is a temporary UK Government initiative running from 25 June to 1 September 2026. It is designed to reduce the cost of family days out by temporarily cutting VAT from 20% to 5% on certain eligible activities and meals.
What’s included?
The VAT reduction applies to:
- Children’s meals served from children’s menus in participating restaurants.
- Children’s tickets to cinemas, theatres, concerts, shows and exhibitions.
- Admission tickets (for both adults and children) to many family attractions, including:
- Theme parks
- Zoos
- Soft play centres
- Adventure parks
- Wildlife parks
- Nature reserves
- Similar attractions.
